Here’s what we’re thinking. What we’re seeing. What’s really going on.
No polished theory. No pretending it’s all working. Just sharp insights from the new worlds frontier

Stuff you can use today. And when you’re done watching from the outside? Step in. The real work starts inside.

I might look neutral. That doesn’t mean I’m not feeling it. Sometimes the deepest emotions are happening entirely on the inside. Get to know us beyond what you can see. Clear is kind.
Don’t Mistake My Neutral Face for Not Caring
I’m autistic and ADHD, and sometimes the words alone aren’t enough. Stories give us the context, flavour and detail that plain information can leave behind. They help us understand not just what happened, but what it means, why it matters and how all the pieces fit together. That’s why storytelling can be such a powerful communication tool. It creates context. Context creates understanding. And greater understanding is a pretty kind thing to bring into any room. Clear is kind of
Why My Autistic Brain Needs the Story, Not Just the Words
I’m autistic and ADHD. When I bring a story into a conversation, I’m not necessarily telling my story, and I’m not trying to make myself the centre of yours. Stories, examples, experiences and analogies are ways I can demonstrate empathy, emotion, excitement and understanding. I’m showing you the connection I’ve made and giving that connection something tangible. But there’s a catch. The connection that seems blindingly obvious in my head might not be obvious to you at all. So if you communicate like me, here’s the hot tip: make the bridge explicit. Say why you’re telling the story. Show how it connects to what was just said, then return the conversation. The story isn’t there to take over the conversation. It’s there to show the connection.
I’m Not Being a Narcissist. I’m Using Stories to Connect.
I’m autistic and ADHD. When I ask “why?”, there’s a good chance I’m not resisting you at all. Quite the opposite. I may have already bought into the premise. I’m asking because I need to close the gaps. I need to understand what connects this bit to that bit, where we’re going, and why it makes sense. Once I can see the whole picture, I can get behind you properly. Don’t mistake a need for clarity for an argument. Clear is kind.
If I’m Asking “Why?”, I’ve Probably Already Bought In
When I ask “why?”, you might hear a challenge. An argument. Maybe even someone being difficult. I’m autistic and ADHD. I’m doing something much simpler: getting clear. I’m filling in the ambiguity, understanding the rules in the room and building enough context to know what you actually mean. When you help me do that, my life gets easier. I understand you, contribute and work with you so much better. Sometimes “why?” isn’t an argument at all. It’s an invitation to make things clearer. Clear is kind.
You Hear “Argument.” I’m Asking for Clarity.
I’m autistic and ADHD. When I ask “why?”, I’m not undermining you, questioning your authority or trying to take over. I’m getting clear. My brain needs the pieces. The context. How things connect. Once the jigsaw comes together, something just goes click. And when it clicks, I do great work. Better quality, better understanding, and I can genuinely get behind where we’re going. Sometimes questions aren’t resistance. They’re how we understand. Clear is kind. #Autism #ADHD #AuDHD #Neurodivergent #Leadership #ClearIsKind
